Even at the height of my illicit drug experimentation days (the early 90s), I wouldn’t have considered the idea that all drugs should be legal.

I couldn’t understand why marijuana wasn’t legal and alcohol was, but I never questioned the illegality of illicit drugs like cocaine and heroin.

These dangerous street drugs should never be legalized because of the societal damage they would cause.

That’s what I thought.
