More Celebrities Hocking Their Booze Brands
Hollywood would prefer it if you were sloshed
I’ve never been anti-celebrity or anti-Hollywood. There are many actors, athletes, and musicians that I greatly admire, so I don’t want to condemn the entertainment industry en masse.
I’m just pointing out one of Hollywood’s hottest trends in recent years: celebrities shamelessly slapping their name on a bottle of booze.
The most egregious example (in my opinion) is the new alcoholic beverage launched by Jennifer Lopez.
This inspired a full article about JLo and her new drink (below), but she isn’t the only celebrity selling snake oil.
She’s just the only one with a husband (Ben Affleck) who’s had very public battles with alcohol and rehab and for years talked about how bad alcohol is and that she didn’t drink because it’s bad for your health and your skin etc. etc……
