Drinking Doesn’t Make You Fun

It just prevents you from realizing you’re annoying

Alcohol is often referred to as “liquid courage.”

It takes away our inhibitions, makes us more open and talkative, and convinces us to do things we probably wouldn’t do while sober.

But…is that courage?

I think it’s a lot closer to stupid.

Here’s an example…

I was onstage playing with the band, and I saw a guy who was heavily intoxicated (5' 6" and weighing a buck fifty) harassing two muscle-bound bouncers.

They were trying to usher him toward the door without getting physical, but he continued to yell at them while pointing a finger in their faces — which, for him, was about two feet straight up.

The hammered Hercules would not go quietly, so eventually, they each grabbed an arm, lifted his little frame off the ground, and threw him out the door.

Now face down on the street, he continued to lob insults at them with one shoe conspicuously missing.

Uncommon valor
