Great article Kim.
As a sober person who is immersed in the sober/recovery world, I looked to him and his perspective quite often.
Not as an "idol” but as a voice on the fringe that was testing the boundaries and the old paradigms. Even when I might disagree with him, I admired his pioneering spirit.
But I agree with every word of your article.
I once attended a 25-year "sober" anniversary of a friend, only to have that same friend break down and confide in me the next day the scope of his sex addiction--while still being married.
Like you, I don't WANT to believe these allegations against Brand. But do they shock me? No. Not at all.
