GREAT article Vicki.

I tend to date younger women, but my experience has been very different than the "gold digger" relationship stereotype.

Thank you for not pigeonholing them that way.

Younger women (who would date someone my age) like the way older men treat them--which is generally with more respect, romance, and attention than men their age.

(For the record, I'm 53, and usually date women 30-45)

There's also a common misconception that the older man is "controlling" the relationship--but that has not been the case.

I've found it to be very equal, because younger women are well aware that they don't NEED an older man. There are plenty of guys their age to choose from.

I would absolutely date someone my age (or older), and I don't want to reduce it all to math--but when you expand the age range of possibilities it can lead to meeting some incredible people.

I'm glad that you got to experience both ends of the spectrum and have meaningful relationships.

Good for you!
