I can and I will!

Thanks for the idea.

But...in a nutshell...

I went to AA because I thought--or I was told--that it was the only place to go.

Most of my 20 years of sobriety were not in the rooms of AA-- just the first year or so. I always had issues with the program, and I was able to leave , stay sober, and thrive without it.

When I relapsed during my separation/divorce, I tried to get sober by myself, but it wasn't working. So I decided to give AA another shot because, again, I didn't know where else to turn.

That's what started me on the path to discovering other ways to get sober.

Fortunately for me, a lot had changed in those 20 years.
