I'm not sure why we can't collectively admit that having sex with the same person for decades (or even years) is boring and repetitive.

Who says we were "designed" to have sex with the same person for that long?

It's pretty simple, we just get bored of that person.

No one likes to say it because we don't like to admit defeat--so it's a delusion we all buy into.
