I’ve been a Grateful Dead fan — a self-described “Deadhead” — since I was 17. I love music of all genres and eras, but being a Deadhead is one of the great joys of my life. It reminds me to have fun as much as humanly possible.

But let’s put a pin in that for an exploding moment…

Remember when you were young, partying with your friends, dancing, and having an epic night? Amidst the loud music and revelry, you all agreed:

“Let’s make a pact to be like this forever — let’s always have fun! I don’t want to turn into a boring ass adult and do boring ass adult shit!”

Well…I meant it. But everyone else bailed on me.

They turned into boring ass adults (aka their parents), and all they do now is boring ass adult shit.
