Sex. Drugs. Rock.
A Lead Singer’s Search For Meaning
I have a YouTube video with over 1,400,000 views the last time I checked.
It’s a picture video of “The War On Drugs,” an acoustic song I wrote in the 90s and performed with my band, Laughing Colors.
It features the chorus...
Whatever happened to Sex, Drugs, and Rock ‘n Roll?
Now we just have AIDS, Crack and Techno
Having that many views is flattering — but there’s a little catch that prevents my head from swelling.
Someone (not me) uploaded the song with the title “Guns N’ Roses Sex Drugs And Rock n Roll.” Check it out below.
I do enjoy the fact that millions have heard the song, but not only does the credit go to Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses, but that’s why the video got so many views in the first place.
