The 5 Roadblocks To Sobriety
Identifying why you can’t break free from alcohol
With the evidence continuing to mount that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption, more and more people are examining their relationship with alcohol.
This is a welcomed trend because it’s not just heavy drinkers — or those who have had severe consequences from their drinking.
It’s also those who drink at (so-called) mild to moderate levels.
There can be mental roadblocks when one decides to give up alcohol, and in my daily conversation with those seeking to break free, I noticed 5 main obstacles that appeared frequently.
It’s essential to identify each one individually and address them in kind. Multiple factors may stand in the way of sobriety, each with its own potential challenges.

Keep in mind, that when you break all of these obstacles down, they are only mental barriers. There are no physical blockades preventing you from being free of alcohol.
