The term ”alcoholic” is ambiguous and misleading at best. It’s just a colloquialism like “drunk” or “lush.”

If you beg to differ please give the definition of “an alcoholic” and the threshold one must cross to become one.

The correct term is alcohol use disorder (AUD) which exists on a spectrum.

Alcohol use and abuse is not a black and white issue as AA would have you believe.

AA only gives you two options. You are either a so-called “alcoholic” or a “normie”— which means a “normal” drinker.

This is both ignorant and antiquated… And comes from a book written in 1939. We know better now.
