This is true Philippa--and it's a shame it's that way.

When I'm critical of AA, I sometimes have members say to me "shouldn't you support anyone's means of getting sober?"

Yes!

I do!

That's the whole point.

It's only AA members that seem to have an issue with all of the other ways. I can't count how many times I heard an AA member scoff at anything outside the fellowship.

Hence--the reason for being critical of AA.
