Valentine's Day For Singles
Celebrate your freedom and individuality
I love Valentine’s Day.
Ok, maybe love is too strong a word, but I genuinely like it — and I’m single.
First, I like holidays in general, and even though it’s not a day off work and I don’t have any skin in the couples game currently, I’m all for a holiday that celebrates love.
I like to watch couples at various stages of their relationships celebrating V-Day. Here are a few of the archetypes:
- The Butterfly stage
These giddy couples have only been together 3–6 months and still give each other butterflies when they’re in each other's presence. This stage is the most fun. You can’t wait to see that person; the sex is great, and you’re excited to be around them at all times.
From a pure enjoyment standpoint, it’s downhill from here, unfortunately. But don’t fret; each stage has its perks.
2. The Committed Stage (together and/or married up to 10 years)
