Well, from what I know he is still sober, at least from alcohol. He’s a dedicated AA member, and I had to leave AA. Which is another novel in and of itself lol.

But there’s no question that being abstinent from any given substance isn’t typically the magic bullet that makes our lives puppy dogs and rainbows. Haha

Even being clean and sober myself, I require daily maintenance in all other areas of my life. It’s not that difficult to see how Brand may have let his “guru” ego get the best of him. A guru could be one step away from being a cult leader, and we know how that usually turns out. 🤦‍♂️
