I applaud the boss babes out there. I'm all for anyone who follows their dreams and goals and speaks their mind. In doing business, people who cut right to the chase, leave the emotions at home, and get right to the bottom line (financial or otherwise) are much easier to work with.

I will take working with a boss babe over some schlep who can’t make his own decisions every day of the week.

However…

Regarding romantic relationships, there’s a popular narrative that men are “intimidated” by boss babes, and that’s not accurate.

The truth is that most men aren’t looking for a boss babe in a relationship.

Some men seek out the “power couple” dynamic, but generally, that’s as much a business decision as a romantic one—for both parties.

Example: Beyonce didn’t need Jay-Z to be successful, and vice versa, but I’m sure combining their power was attractive to both. Obviously, their romantic life has left a little to be desired, but they keep the partnership going — so it must be working for them.
